In Swiss city of Sankt Gallen club's legendary player, Zeljko Perusic died at the age of 81.
He was born on March 23, 1936, in Duga Resa and joined Dinamo in autumn of 1958. At the start of his football career he played mostly as a winger and attacking midfielder, but later his primary position was as a central midfielder. Perusic recorded 177 competitive games for Dinamo and won Yugoslav Cup in 1960 & 1963.
Later he played for TSV 1860 München and FC St. Gallen. He earned 27 caps for the Yugoslavia national football team and participated in the 1960 European Nations' Cup (EURO).
