ŽNK Dinamo closes the season with two interesting events: “Living my dream” and “Open door days”

After winning the Croatian Football Cup in 2024, the club's small football (futsal) section this season won - the triple crown. ŽMNK Dinamo, defended the title at the Kutija šibica, then won the prestigious Zagreb Winter Cup, and the highlight of the season came at the end of February, when the Purgerice also clinched the title of Croatian women's futsal champions.

ŽNK Dinamo is marking the end of an extremely successful season this week with two events that will take place on field number 7 of Maksimir Stadium.

On Friday, June 6, the third edition of the invitational tournament "Living my dream" will be played, organized by ŽNK Dinamo in collaboration with Dinamo's football academy. This tournament brings together female and male football clubs and their younger teams, which are then mixed into teams composed of two female and two male players.

"In front of us is the third edition of this unique tournament. The first edition, held two years ago, brought together a large number of clubs and children. Last year, with the organizational support of GNK Dinamo and the Nema Predaje Foundation, everything was taken to an even higher level. The icing on the cake was certainly the arrival of GNK Dinamo football players who supported young female and male footballers and, of course, the project itself. Girls and boys complemented each other excellently on the field, sending the best possible messages of commitment to gender equality and equal rights. We look forward to the new edition of the tournament and the joyful faces of children, which is the reason why we do all this at the end of the day," said Marija Margareta Damjanović, sports director of ŽNK Dinamo Zagreb.

Two days later, on Sunday, June 8, ŽNK Dinamo is organizing an Open Club Day for all girls who want to try their hand at the "most important secondary thing in the world", a sport that is experiencing enormous growth among female athletes and the female audience.

„ It is my great pleasure to announce that this year we are organizing for the first time an Open Day of ŽNK Dinamo Zagreb. We invite all girls who love and want to train in football, or at least try themselves on the football field, to join us on field number 7 of Maksimir Stadium, participate in a guided trial training, meet our players and coaches, make new friendships, and hopefully become new Blue Lionesses. Our coaches have prepared a truly rich and interesting program for all registered girls. In addition to training and socializing, we have also organized a tour of Maksimir Stadium, as well as special football gifts and certificates. I am proud that we are among the first women's football clubs to launch and organize such a day. We hope that this will encourage others to bring football closer to girls and offer them the real opportunity to engage in the sport. Together, we will build a better and successful future for women's football in Croatia. ”, Damjanović concluded.

Both events will also be attended by the well-known mascots of GNK Dinamo and ŽNK Dinamo - Plavko and Plavica.
