The No Surrender Foundation, alongside Dinamo Football School, is marking the “More than football” action weeks this year too, organized by the international network of football clubs and organizations, EFDN. In observance of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, celebrated annually on April 6th, a brief meet-up with young players from the football school and a lecture on the topic of promoting peace through sport were organized at the Maksimir Stadium.
Ivan Kelava, a member of the board of directors of the No Surrender Foundation and the goalkeeper coach for the Cadet 1 team, and Sandro Kulenović, a player from Dinamo's first team, spoke with the young players about fair play, peacefulness, solidarity, and respect for everyone. A short workshop and meet-up with thematic discussions were held after the young cadets' training at Maksimir, in a pleasant atmosphere where Kelava and Kulenović shared their personal sports stories. They talked about what their football journey looked like from their early days in Dinamo's football school to their greatest achievements - playing for Dinamo's first team, significant international experience, and their current stay in their favorite club.
