Former Rijeka footballer, 27-year-old left-back Bruno Goda, is the new player of Dinamo.
Goda was born on April 17, 1998 in Vinkovci, and started his football career at Graničar from Županja before moving to Dinamo. In the 2016/17 season, he began his senior career in the second league playing for Hrvatski dragovoljac, and then in 2017 signed for Slaven Belupo where he spent five seasons and made as many as 133 appearances.
In November 2022, he signed a contract with Rijeka where he quickly became a regular member of the starting lineup and under the guidance of Sergej Jakirović and Željko Sopić, he particularly excelled by scoring as many as six goals in the 2023/24 season. With his performances, he earned a place in the best team of the First Croatian Football League for that season.
He spent four years at Dinamo's school, from the summer of 2012 to the summer of 2016, until the junior age. In the summer of 2013, he was part of Dinamo's U-15 team that won the prestigious Nike Premier Cup, unofficially the world club championship in that age group. In the final, they defeated Milan 2-1 in extra time.
Goda has long been known in Croatian national football circles. He played for U-15, U-16, and U-20 teams, and in May 2023, he received a call-up to the U-23 national team where he played in a friendly match against Qatar.
"I can say that today I fulfilled my dream. Since I was a child, I wanted to play for Dinamo's senior team. I am grateful to the club for the opportunity and I will give my all to meet expectations. Wearing the Dinamo jersey is above all a great honor and responsibility, but I am aware of the weight and pressure and I can't wait to start. From the first day, the goal is clear - winning the title of champions!" - Goda stated upon signing the contract.
Welcome Bruno!
