Cardoso Varela signed a professional contract with Dinamo!

Portuguese footballer Cardoso Varela today signed a professional contract with GNK Dinamo and from the upcoming season will join the first team under the guidance of coach Mario Kovačević.

Varela joined the Blues in February of this year and played for the youth teams of our club. He played for Dinamo's cadet and junior teams, and in the 2024/25 season, he won the double crown with the cadets - the league title and the Croatian Cup. He was born in Portugal in 2007, and before coming to Zagreb, he also played for the U15 national team of Portugal, further confirming his great potential.

With his work, effort, and talent, he has shown that he deserves a contract with Dinamo. Cardoso will immediately join the first team and make himself available to coach Kovačević.

"I am happy because this whole story has finally come to an end. I am enjoying myself here in Zagreb and I am glad to be staying at Dinamo. In these few months, I have felt what Dinamo means and how big of a club this is. I will give my all to prove myself to the coach, to show that I can play at the level that such a club demands, and to bring the title back to Zagreb." - Varela stated upon signing the contract.
