Dejan Ljubičić signed for Dinamo

GNK Dinamo proudly announces the arrival of Austrian international Dejan Ljubičić, who has signed a long-term contract with our club.

Ljubičić was born on October 8, 1997 in Vienna and plays as a central midfielder. He is a strong, tactically mature, and technically skilled player who will strengthen the midfield line.

He started his senior career wearing the jersey of Rapid Vienna, where he made over 100 appearances in the Austrian league over several seasons. In July 2021, he moved to the German Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln, where he played in the Bundesliga and later in the 2. Bundesliga. In Germany, he accumulated over 122 official appearances, scored 16 goals, and provided 8 assists. In the just concluded 2024/25 season, he was one of the key players for Köln on their way to winning the title in the 2. Bundesliga and returning to the top flight.

On the international scene, Dejan Ljubičić plays for the Austrian national team, for which he made his debut in October 2021 in the World Cup qualifiers. To date, he has earned nine caps and scored one goal.

Dejan is the brother of Robert Ljubičić who wore the Dinamo jersey from the summer of 2022 to January 2024, winning two league titles, one cup, and two Super Cups with the club.
