Dinamo celebrates 105th anniversary of NK Nehaja and enrolls 60,000th member

The date of September 5, 2025 will be long remembered in the coastal town of Senj. This Friday marked the 105th anniversary of the local football club NK Nehaj with a match against a combined team of Dinamo's seniors and juniors. In the evening, a spectacular Blue Night event was held at Hotel Bura 45°N, which was attended by Zvonimir Boban. In addition, Dinamo welcomed its 60,000th member for the current year in Senj.

The full-day program began with a reception at Nehaj Fortress, where the mayor of Senj Željko Tomljanović and the rest of the local delegation also welcomed the Dinamo delegation led by president Velimir Zajec and vice president Fran Šušnjar, who is actually a native of Senj.

"Thank you all for the hospitality. As you know, Senj is 'rough' due to the bura wind, but at the same time a very warm city. However, that warmth needs to be discovered. And when people discover it, it stays with them forever. In the last year and a half, Dinamo has initiated a series of processes aimed at expanding the Dinamo community. From the first democratic elections, in which Velimir Zajec emerged victorious, to additional statutory changes that have enabled us to hold elections according to the 'one member, one vote' system that will take place next Saturday. Dinamo is above all a big family, and in Senj it will gain its sixty-thousandth member. Every member is important to us, regardless of whether they are from Zagreb, Đurđevac, Mokošica, Čapljina or Senj. This is confirmation that Dinamo is a Zagreb club, but above all a Croatian club," said Šušnjara.

A smoke show followed by the local Bad Blue Boys throughout Senj and a joint departure of two delegations and fans to the match played at the Pod Nehaj stadium. Before the start of the match, Dinamo's president Velimir Zajec presented a special jersey to Đina Dobrina, the 60,000th member of GNK Dinamo for the year 2025.

In the end, Dinamo's combined team defeated Nehaj, a member of the Third NL Zapad, 1-0 with a goal by Mislav Ćutuk in the final phase of the match.

After the afternoon 'smoke show', the local BBB organized an evening torchlight procession upon the arrival of Dinamo's bus at the 'Blue Night' in the city center. The highlight of the evening was the arrival of Zvonimir Boban, who took photos with every visitor of the Blue Night.
