Great performance and victory against the strong team of Juventus as the beginning of the campaign to defend the title of the winner. In such an atmosphere, the young Dinamo footballers, under the leadership of coach Jerko Leko, opened the new, so far strongest edition of the international tournament Mladen Ramljak. The Blues defeated Juventus with a 1-0 goal by Mislav Ćutuk in the 23rd minute.

Juve played with ten men in the final stages after Idris Amara Sylla was sent off for a foul on Belin.

The Blues opened the match with two chances from the right side. In both cases, the main role was taken by Karlo Zulfić. First, he shot from a turn into the goal, but goalkeeper Raffaele Huli managed to save the ball with a great save, and seven minutes later Dinamo's right winger attempted a "low projectile" but missed near the post.

Even the guests threatened, Enzo Keutgen sent a "candle" into the penalty area, and Leo Bamballi redirected the ball with a header just beside the goal.

The Blues responded in the next move. Nikola Radnić launched a vertical ball for Sven Šunta, who set up Patrick Horvat who charged diagonally from the left, sharply aimed, and the ball flew just beside the opposite posts.

The winning goal appeared in the 23rd minute. Tomas Baković played to the right from where Noa Mikić was advancing, rushed into the penalty area at full speed, pulled strongly, the goalkeeper rebounded the ball, and Ćutuk ran onto it and slammed it into the goal.

The guests could have returned in the 35th minute, Destiny Elimoghale combined on the left side, found Wout Gielena, and he launched just wide of the post from a turn.

At the very end of the first half, Mikić turned into the penalty area, Krešimir Radoš shot from a half-volley, but the ball rebounded off the block into a corner.

On several occasions, the playful and agile Horvat drew applause from the audience after his miniatures on the left side. In the 50th minute, in a skillful dribble, he passed three players, and although the finish was not equally successful, a loud applause echoed from the stands. Similar was the case in the 68th minute, Ćutuk initiated the attack, found the omnipresent Horvat who, in a new assault from the left, tricked the opposing defender with a feint and sent the ball past the opposite goalpost.

The playful 16-year-old Belinho provoked his opponents with dribbling skills to the point where things briefly got heated on the field. He freed himself from Sylle with a feint, who responded with force - a rough foul. The Italian footballer received a red card for this, and the referee handed out the same punishment to Dinamo's Zulfić on the bench for unsportsmanlike behavior.

In the last action of the match, Belinho once again remained on the ground after a dribble due to a rough tackle by Juventus' defender. It was a semi-counterattack in which he was stopped by a foul from Benit Borasio. The referee let the play continue, Leonardo Perković broke through alone in front of the goalkeeper, chipped the ball which bounced into the goal. However, just on the goal line, he was caught up by Borasio...

The Blues will host Vienna Rapid in the second round match on Friday at 5 pm.
