Dinamo was outclassed by excellent Paris Saint-Germain in the 3. round of the Champions league. Modri tried and played a good match but the obvious difference in quality gave PSG a fully deserved 2:0 victory.

Modri opened the match very bravely and searched for the opener from the beginning of the game. Despite the fact coach Ante Čačić decided to play with defender Domagoj Vida as defensive midfielder, Dinamo had some nice chances in the first half an hour and could have easily taken the lead. Unfortunately, they didn't.

On the other hand, guests could have got in front after only 3 minutes when Zlatan Ibrahimović was left alone in front of Ivan Kelava but our captain made his first excellent save of the night. In the next 25 minutes we watched a very interesting match with numerous chances on both sides. Minute after Ibrahimović Vida placed a nice header after a corner kick and Sammir tried his shot from the free kick.

Alen Halilović youngest ever

With little over 16 years at his back Alen Halilović became the youngest Croatian player to play in the Champions league. Wonderkid entered the game in the last couple of minutes and showed some great skills at the biggest stage.

It was obvious that someone will score and as it usually goes - the better team did exactly that. In the 32nd minute of the game skillful Jeremy Menez made a run on the left flank, his ball came to Ibrahimović who placed it in the net. Naturally, this goal shocked Modri because they felt that the results could have been different but that's football. To make things even worse, couple of minutes from time man of the match Menez made it 2:0. Winger once again came to the box from the left and this time he decided to end the actio on his own and it was 2:0 in the 43rd minute of the game.

Coach Čačić tried to change the game with substitution Adrian Calello what gave Mateo Kovačić more offensive freedom but Carlo Ancelotti's side was simply too good. PSG played a very assuring and calm second half where their lead wasn't even threatened. In fact, the could have scored more goals but Kelava had a very good game. Couple of times even Kelava was beaten but luck saved Dinamo. For example, Pastore did most of the work in the 64th minute and gave Ibrahimović a 100 % chance but his shot went over Kelava and - beside the post.

In the 79th minute Thiago Silva's header ended in the post and in the final 10 minutes PSG had few more chances but the result didn't change. Dinamo had a nice chance in additional time, when 16-year old Halilović made mess in Paris defense but - it wasn't Dinamo's night.

PSG fully deserved the victory and is taking all three points to Paris. On the other side, Dinamo can be sorry for not scoring in the first half an hour and the question remains: what would happen if Dinamo took the lead? In two weeks, at Parc des Princes, Dinamo will have another chance.

Copied!
