Jedvaj: I gave my best and it worked out

Dinamo players were delighted after winning the derby match against Hajduk in Split.

17-year old centre back Tin Jedvaj had an excellent game and received a lot of praise after the match: - Thanks for that but first of all I would like to congratulate my teammates on a great game and a win. Also, congratulations to Hajduk on a good game and to all the fans that made this night really special. As for the game, I tried to give my best, focus only on the pitch and not on the stands and it worked out. It wasn't easy being a man down, it's not easy on Poljud with 11 against 11 but we managed to win.

Twice his age captain Josip Šimunić also had only nice words for his centre back colleague: - The kid is really playing great and it's not easy to be great here. He has a great future in front of him just like many other youngsters in the squad; of course, as long as they work had. We scored early in the game and that made things easier but our win could have been a lot less stressful if we were a bit calmer. Never mind because we eventually got the deserved win.
