Mateo Lisica new player of Dinamo

Talented winger of Istra 1961, Mateo Lisica, is the new player of Dinamo. This Tuesday, after excellent performances in the jersey of the Pula team, he signed a professional contract with the club from Maksimir, and under the guidance of coach Mario Kovačević, he will primarily compete for the role of right winger.

Lisica was born on July 9, 2003, in Pula, took his first steps in the local Štinjan, and as an eight-year-old boy, he joined Istra 1961 and went through all age groups there. He made his debut in the Croatian First Football League in June 2020, at just under 17 years old, and gradually made his way through the first team of the "yellow-greens". Moreover, in his second season in senior football, he played with Istra in the final of the Cup, against Dinamo. He has also played for the Croatian junior and youth national team.

The player is full of energy, extremely fast, this season he has appeared in all 36 league matches... According to his offensive orientation, he primarily qualifies for the position of right winger, and occasionally, thanks to his exceptional responsibility in defensive tasks, he has also been known to step in as a full-back.

I am proud that my performances have led me to this signature, but I am aware that there is a lot of pressure at Dinamo and that the highest level is always sought. I love challenges, I believe in myself and I can't wait to play in front of our fans at Maksimir in the blue jersey!”- Stated Mateo Lisica upon signing the contract.
