Former member of Dinamo's academy, recently defender of Istra 1961, Moris Valinčić, has signed a multi-year contract with the club from Maksimir.
He will strengthen the defensive part of the team at Dinamo and primarily reinforce the competition at the right-back position.
He was born on November 17, 2002 in Rijeka, where he stepped into the football school of the white team from Kantrida at the age of 10. He spent five years in Rijeka's system, then five months in Opatija, before joining Dinamo's academy in the summer of 2018 at the age of 15, where he played for the cadet and junior teams for three years, as well as for Dinamo's B team in the Second Croatian Football League, signing a scholarship contract. He formally made his senior debut in December 2020 in Dinamo II's victory against Međimurje with a score of 5:2 at Kranjčevićeva in a Second Croatian Football League match when he came off the bench in the final minutes of the game.
After completing his junior career, he spent half a season at Neretvanac in Opuzen, then played for Široki Brijeg in the first league of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a year and a half, before spending the last two seasons in the team of Istra 1961 where he became one of the key players and played for the young Croatian national team. With his performances last season, he earned a place in the SHNL 24/25 team of the season.
“I have finally waited for this day. As soon as I heard about Dinamo's interest, I did not hesitate. I believed that my hard work and effort would pay off. Since I was in the academy, I have had the desire to return to Maksimir and play for the senior team. I am grateful to the club for their trust and I can't wait to start training and playing matches. I am aware of the weight of this jersey and the responsibility that comes with being a player of this club, and I will show that on the field. A new Dinamo is being created, but we all have the same goal - to win the title of champions!“ – Valinčić stated upon signing the contract.
Dear Moris, welcome back. We wish you good luck and success in your favorite jersey!
