Mounsef Bakrar new player of Dinamo

Algerian striker Mounsef Bakrar is the new player of Dinamo. He has signed a multi-year contract with the club after playing two seasons for New York City in the American-Canadian MLS league.

This marks Bakrar's return to the SuperSport HNL where he made his debut back in July 2022 wearing the jersey of Istra 1961. He was born on January 13, 2001, in the Algerian city of Salah Bey, and came to Croatia in the summer of 2022 when he moved from Setif to Istra.

He has since made four appearances for the Algerian national team, having previously played for the youth national team.

With Bakrarov's arrival, we will once again see an Algerian striker in a blue jersey. His predecessor, compatriot El Arabi Hilal Soudani, left a strong impression and a deep mark with his brilliant performances.

"I am extremely happy and proud to have become a Dinamo player. Coming to the biggest Croatian club is a great honor and privilege for me. It's no secret that I was very close to joining Dinamo two years ago, but unfortunately, the transfer did not materialize at that time. However, I believe that everything happens for a reason. Today, I am a more experienced and mature player than I was back then - and I am confident that I can make the necessary contribution to the team. Thank you to the club for the trust and opportunity. I can't wait to put on the jersey, step out in front of the fans at Maksimir, and start writing a new chapter in my career." - Mounsef stated upon signing the contract.
