In front of 4.000 thrilled spectators Dinamo and Radnik played a very interesting friendly game. Dinamo was a better team, created several chances but Radnik, made mostly of out our youth team players, played an excellent game and got the 3:1 victory.

National holiday, 1. May, it was a real "football holiday" in Sesvete. The defending champions came to 15 kilometres distanced Sesvete for a friendly match with Radnik, affiliated second league club where most of the players are from Dinamo's youth team. As expected, the youngsters were highly motivated and got the victory despite the fact Dinamo was a much better side in the first 45 minutes.

Modri created the first chance after 7 minutes when Husejinović made a nice run and place a shot over the goal. Little bit later Pivarić came from the left side, searched Brozović in the middle but Marotti cleared the ball in the last moment. In the 20th minute Pamić placed a great shot from the edge of the box but Karatović saved everything. As the game went on Dinamo pressed more and more so the chances were coming very often but Karatović  made some fantastic saves.

On the other side, Ivančić and Čabraja were a constant threat for Dinamo's defense so the spectators really enjoyed. First half ended goalless it was obvious that it's only a matter of time when will that change. Unfortunately for Dinamo, home side was the one to break the deadlock.

Before that and according to plan, coach Jurčić decided to substitute almost all the players at halftime so four 16 and 17 year old youngsters entered the game: Filip Omazić, David Žabec, Nikola Burić and Petar Bočkaj. Modri had couple of nice chances but it was Radnik who stroke first. It was in the 65th minute of the game when Rožman made a run on the left side and crossed the ball to the box for Čabraja who headed the ball to the net. Dinamo pushed harder to get the equaliser but it was Pajač who scored a screamer from the edge of the box to make it 2:0 after 74 minutes of play.

Dinamo responded soon and got one back when Sammir's brilliant pass found Filip Hodak who cut the lead down to one so Modri charged for the second goal. Radnik's defense faced some pretty serious threats but the came on top and even managed to launch a counter attack for Čabraja who converted for final 3:1.

Dinamo was defeated in Sesvete but the good side of the loss is that these youngsters in Radnik proved themselves as a great prospect.

Copied!
