Young Dinamo footballers played their penultimate friendly match ahead of the new season away against their city neighbours, Trnje. In Saturday's morning fixture, Trnje secured victory with goals in the final twenty minutes, winning 2:0. The home side wore blue jerseys this time while the Maksimir team promoted their new white away kit on this occasion.

Several players from coach Jerko Leko's squad participated in the prestigious international youth tournament Mladen Ramljak this weekend and therefore did not feature for the B team. Sven Šunta stepped in from the first team on this occasion...

Dinamo threatened more seriously in the 62nd minute when Josip Brundić shot from about twenty metres hitting the crossbar, with goalkeeper Tin Došen making a brilliant reaction save to punch the ball away. The home side had a great opportunity in the 71st minute when Ivan Ante Gašparac shot from a similar distance and hit the post.

Two minutes later Trnje took the lead, Igor Ribić delivered a cross from the right side, and Vito Oreškovic headed the ball into the net. Filip Vajdovčić intercepted the ball in front of Dinamo's goal in the 84th minute and scored his team's second goal.

Coach Leko used 17 players with Mislav Ćutuk and Gabriel Šivalec starting in the first 11, then moving to the bench, and later re-entering the game.

Dinamo B's final opponent in the preparation period will be Hrvatski dragovoljac, with the match scheduled for Friday at 6 PM in Siget.
