Dinamo B visit Segesta on Sunday
Dinamo B
With only 11 days between them, both Dinamo's first and second teams are visiting the same pitch. The Blues' first team marked Segesta's 120th anniversary by appearing in a friendly match in which they defeated the hosts 5-0. This Sunday, exactly 11 days later, Dinamo B will also visit the same pitch at 3:30 PM, but in an 8th round match of the SuperSport First NL.
– We're playing against a team that has ambitions for the top of the table, even for promotion to the highest level. It will be a difficult match. Segesta recently played a friendly against our first team to mark the 120th anniversary of the Sisak club. Of course, I join in the congratulations for the big anniversary. They'll probably want to improve their impression from that match in which Dinamo's first team won convincingly. We, on the other hand, are in good shape, the squad is complete. We had a league break so players were arriving from Monday to Wednesday, but now we're all together. We'll be ready, and we hope to perform well in Sisak – highlighted coach Jerko Leko.
That defeat against Dinamo's first team might provide additional motivation for the home players.
– It's possible, and in a way that makes them more aggressive. But we'll play our game. There's not much adaptation to the opponent except that we'll point out some details in the home team's play to our players. We'll try to dominate possession and create chances. Of course, we used that exhibition match as part of our preparation for what awaits us now in Sisak. They also rotated their squad a bit in that match, hiding their trump cards a little.
What's the state of the squad?
– Some lads who were training with the first team have rejoined us again, like Noah Nsoki, Borna Orlić, Noa Mikić, Fuzy Taylor... Patrik Horvat and Nikolas Šimić have been out of action for a longer period – added coach Leko.
