Dinamo secure convincing victory with brilliant performance to start preparations

Radomlje – Dinamo 0:3

Mislav Oršić donned Dinamo's jersey once again after three and a half years, came close to scoring, Dion Drena Beljo found the opponent's net and continued his goalscoring rhythm from last season, while the impressive and fluid performance of the entire Maksimir squad provided an optimistic start to the new competitive year. Dinamo defeated hosts Radomlje 3:0 in their first friendly match, completely controlling proceedings on the pitch, creating chances and delivering confident, at times spectacular football.

Coach Mario Kovačević's team played against the same opponent and at the same venue where they opened their previous summer preparations just under a year ago. Back then in Radomlje it was a completely different match, ending 2:2 in a game where the Maksimir players were chasing an equalizer at the end. This time it was a confident, solid and inspired performance by Kovačević's side despite this being only their first friendly match.

The Blues were led from the start by captain Josip Mišić, who held the team's reins, dominated the midfield, and orchestrated play for his teammates... It was precisely after his brilliant move that the first goal materialized. He astutely spotted Beljo's run near the penalty area and skillfully chipped the ball in a high arc, bypassing the entire defense. Beljo ran into the empty space, rounded the goalkeeper and calmly steered the ball into the net.

Just six minutes later, the omnipresent Mišić again made his mark near the opponent's penalty area with a committed tackle to win the ball from a home defender, played it right to Beljo who sent a return pass to Gabriel Vidović, and he struck from 15 meters, slightly from the right, finding the near bottom corner.

Oršić came close to finding the net in his comeback appearance. He surged down the left flank, played a one-two with Vidović, and when he received the ball back he placed it toward the far bottom corner. However, goalkeeper Samo Pridgar managed to tip it wide at the last moment.

Both coaches sent out completely new lineups at the start of the second half, but the balance of power remained the same. Dinamo continued creating chances and even extended their lead.

First goalkeeper Jakob Kobal stopped powerful shots from Raul Torrente and Fran Topić, shortly after Luka Stojković fired from 18 meters on the left just wide of the far post... In the 71st minute Lukas Kačavenda after a one-two with Arbër Hoxha beat the opponent's defense and calmly scored Dinamo's third goal from the edge of the six-yard box. Near the end of the match, the hosts cleared the ball off their own goal line following a corner kick scramble.
