The Cup is ours! Dinamo's U15s, the under-15 team, with dominant play and a convincing 2-0 victory against Istra 1961 have won the Croatian Football Cup!

The match was played at the City Stadium in Križevci, and Ante Ivanda's team completely outplayed their opponents, scoring one goal in each half to claim the trophy.

Our team "took control" of the pitch from the first minute, and the first chances began to come very quickly.

The most productive period was from the 17th to 19th minute.

First, after a corner kick, centre-back Teo Ivančević hit the crossbar with a header.

A minute later, Niko Nestić received the ball about 20 metres from goal, but his shot went just wide of the post.

In the following minute there was danger again in front of Istra's goal. Adam Horvat went down the right flank, played a return pass, and this time Nestić hit the crossbar.

However, in the 23rd minute there was no escape for the Pula side. Nestić and Rafael Barišić played a one-two, the Istra goalkeeper saved the first shot, but Gabriel Hrmić was in the right place and shook the net from close range.

Ten minutes later, Dinamo could have doubled their lead. The excellent Horvat broke through on the right flank once again, crossed the ball, but Ivan Anikieiev wasn't precise enough.

Nothing significant changed in the continuation. The Blues still had the initiative, and in the 44th minute (U15s play 2x40 minutes), after a cross from the left side, Hrmić found himself in front of goal, but the Istra goalkeeper managed to save.

But six minutes later, after a similar move, Barišić crossed from the left side, and Hrmić was highest in the jump and increased the lead to 2-0.

After that the game calmed down a bit, our youngsters routinely protected the result, and the only situation when we were a bit worried happened in the 65th minute. Then the Pula side hit the crossbar, and Lenox Čekić sent the rebound wide of goal.

The score didn't change until the end and our U15s fully deserved to claim victory and the Cup trophy!

"I'm pleased that after losing to Istra a few days ago in the League we managed to get the victory and win the Cup. Istra is a very good team, excellently coached. It wasn't easy for us today either, although the result suggests otherwise. Again we created many chances that we couldn't convert, fortunately this time we weren't punished for it. Now we'll celebrate a bit, and then we turn to the end of the Championship", were the first impressions of GNK Dinamo U15s coach Ante Ivanda.
