Dinamo first-team players served meals at the Sveti Duh Soup Kitchen
Humanity in action
A day after securing their place in the Cup final with a victory against Gorica and following this morning's recovery training session, Dinamo's first-team players and coaching staff members headed to the Sveti Duh Soup Kitchen, put on aprons and diligently participated in sorting, preparing and serving meals for those who face much greater challenges every day than results on sporting fields.
The initiative involved Blues players Luka Stojković and Moris Valincić, along with coaching staff members Mario Kovačević and Ivica Landeka, and sporting director Darijo Dabac. Together with kitchen staff and volunteers, they participated in preparing and serving meals for users for whom such assistance means daily security.
GNK Dinamo also donated food supplies on this occasion, from which around 700 meals were prepared.
"I'm pleased that we as players and coaching staff members were able to get involved. The whole experience was special. On one hand it's beautiful because you can help, and on the other it's difficult when you see how many people are in need. But here you also see how many good people help others every day. The most important thing is that we know we are not alone and that we can be support for one another," said Dinamo coach Mario Kovačević.
This initiative is a continuation of activities that were carried out throughout Holy Week, when GNK Dinamo staff, Dinamo Football School and the Dinamo Foundation Nema predaje volunteered daily at the Sveti Duh Soup Kitchen.
This represents just a small contribution compared to the daily efforts of people who work tirelessly there to ensure no one goes without a warm meal. Special recognition is deserved by all staff, cooks and volunteers, as well as Fra Vilček, who coordinates the work of this community with great dedication and care.
The Dinamo Foundation Nema predaje and GNK Dinamo will continue to carry out activities aimed at helping those most in need, with the goal of strengthening community and solidarity in society.
