Luka Ivanušec with the captain's armband scored his first goal since returning to Dinamo, netting twice in the process, while Smail Prevljak also scored a brace. The Maksimir team secured their goals to defeat Bedem 4-0 in Ivankov in the 1/16 finals of the SuperSport Croatian Cup, thereby earning their place in the next round of the competition.

Coach Mario Kovačević fielded a mixed lineup on this occasion, with Iker Almena and Noah Nsoki making their debuts for Dinamo, while five more players from the Maksimir youth team recorded their first minutes for the senior squad – Nikola Radnić, Fuzy Taylor, Gabrijel Šivalec, Kaloyan Bozhkov and Jona Benkotić.

Almena came close to scoring a debut goal in his very first minute. Just 40 seconds had passed since the referee's opening whistle when Paul Tabinas played the ball to the right, Almena shot sharply into the far corner, but goalkeeper Franko Čučković managed to get a touch on the ball as it flew past the post.

Prevljak found the net in the 16th minute. Ivanušec delivered a free kick, Lukas Kačavenda extended the ball towards the far post in the penalty area, where it was deflected by the home defender, but only as far as Prevljak who placed it into the net.

Five minutes later, Almena beat his marker on the right flank and crossed into the center while falling, where Ivanušec arrived and headed home to extend the lead.

Ivanušec had a great chance in the 34th minute when, after two consecutive skillful one-twos, he broke through alone at five meters out, but the ball flew just wide of the post. Shortly after, Robert Mudražija crossed from the left, and the home goalkeeper managed to get a touch on the ball at the last moment, slightly changing its direction and deceiving Almena who was positioned in front of an empty goal.

The third goal came in the 59th minute when Stjepan Radeljić played a through ball down the left flank, Mudražija laid it back, and Ivanušec fired into the net from 18 meters.

Two players from the Maksimir youth team, debutants Šivalec and Benkotić, created an impressive move in the 78th minute. Šivalec played a through ball on the left to Benkotić who rushed into the penalty area and shot at an angle towards the crossbar, but the ball hit the post.

Prevljak wrapped up the scoring in the 87th minute after young Bulgarian midfielder Bozhkov, also making his first-team debut, dribbled through the penalty area from the right side, rounded the goalkeeper and played the ball into the six-yard box where the Maksimir striker calmly steered it into the net.
