Gabrijel Šivalec launched the ball into the net with a masterful strike and led Dinamo B to another victory. Coach Jerko Leko's team delivered a brilliant, solid and inspired performance to defeat Kustošija 1-0 in the 4th round of SuperSport Prva NL, building on an equally impressive display from their previous match when they outplayed Vukovar 1991 with six goals scored.

Dinamo B thus concluded their quartet of away matches at the start of the championship, and on Friday, September 11th, they will play for the first time as hosts – they will welcome Sesvete in Zaprešić.

Kustošija hosted the Blues at the Lučko stadium, and the young Dinamo players threatened from their very first attack. Only 22 seconds had passed when the ball hit the home team's goalpost. Lovre Kulušić skillfully sent the ball into the penalty area, where Josip Brundić appeared, lobbed the goalkeeper, but the ball hit the goalframe and bounced off the pitch.

Coach Leko was forced to make his first substitution after about twenty minutes of play and adjust the center of the defensive line. Borna Orlić left the field due to injury, and Šimun Begović came off the bench.

Dinamo goalkeeper Tai Žnuderl prevented an equalizer with two brilliant reactions. Twice the hosts threatened in the 19th and 22nd minutes in actions following set pieces, firing powerfully from the crowd in the penalty area, but on both occasions the Maksimir net guardian managed to smother the ball right on the goal line.

Young Brazilian Belinho tried cleverly in the 28th minute, intercepting the action in midfield and then attempting to lob Dinamo's goalkeeper from the center, but the ball flew over the crossbar.

The Blues took the lead right at the opening of the second half. It was the 46th minute when Šivalec with a magnificent "Oršić-like" move, an effective right-footed strike from 18 meters on the left side, launched the ball into the far corner.

Eight minutes later Brundić tried, shooting powerfully, but the home goalkeeper saved the ball. On the other side, Marin Vučković led the hosts' attack in the 76th minute, Žnuderl saved the ball, former Maksimir striker El Arabi Hilal Soudani rushed in, shot from the left side, but Dinamo's defenders cleared the danger in front of the goal line at the last moment.

The Blues were close to a second goal in the 71st minute, Petar Šimun Žaja crossed from the left, Kulušić headed towards the near corner, but the ball whistled past the goalpost.
