From 17 to 19 April in Zagreb, at three different locations, the first Nikola Pokrivač Memorial was held with the aim of preserving the memory of the prematurely deceased former Croatian international and GNK Dinamo player, as well as numerous domestic and foreign clubs.

As part of the Memorial, the "Nikola Pokrivač" Scholarship was also launched, intended for young athletes from rural parts of Croatia and smaller communities, to provide them with better conditions for development and achieving their sporting dreams.

During the three days of the Memorial, a total of 7,069.52 euros was raised for the "Nikola Pokrivač" Scholarship.

Fundraising will continue in the coming period through neighbourhood futsal tournaments to be held in Zagreb during June, as well as through the sale of a limited series of reusable cups featuring Nikola Pokrivač's image.

The cups will be available at the Maksimir Stadium bars during the two remaining SuperSport HNL home matches, on 9 May against Hajduk and in the final round against Lokomotiva (23 or 24 May).

All proceeds from the sale of the cups will be directed to the "Nikola Pokrivač" Scholarship.

In July 2026, Dinamo's foundation Nema predaje will announce an official competition for young athletes who will be able to apply for the scholarship award.
