Youth team begins preparations for new season, cadets at prestigious tournament in Germany
Under-15 and Under-17 age groups start preparations
Gatherings of our younger categories have continued. On Wednesday, July 15th in the evening hours, youth team coach Ante Ivanda conducted the first roll call and training session for players under 15 years of age. Let us remind you that our youth team won the Cup last season, and this year they will try to add the championship to that achievement.
"We completed the first training session of the new season in a positive atmosphere. All players came prepared and haven't let themselves go. Oto Krumpak and Maksim Stefanov are still in the recovery process from injuries at the end of last season. We also have three new players who have shown they deserve to be part of the team - Jakov Dropulić, Luka Barbarić and Carlos Leko. The plan is, as every year, to fulfill the planned program with each age group in terms of player development, all for that ultimate goal - entering Dinamo's senior team.", are coach Ivanda's first impressions.
Last Thursday, July 9th, our cadets also gathered under the guidance of coach Tomislav Mikulić. The boys under 17 years of age are the current champions of Croatia, and they have high ambitions for the new season as well.
As an excellent overture to the new season, a very strong international tournament will serve them well, which takes place on July 18th and 19th in the German city of Heilbronn.
Dinamo is in a group with German giants Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern München and Hoffenheim. The tournament also features Eintracht Frankfurt, HSV, Nürnberg and Stuttgart. It will be an excellent test for coach Mikulić and his players ahead of the start of the competitive season.
