With a brilliant and attacking performance featuring two strikes from Luka Stojković, and an inspired display from the entire Blues ensemble, Dinamo impressively crowned a successful season. The Blues celebrate another double crown! Having already secured the league title, Mario Kovačević's team defeated Rijeka 2:0 in Wednesday's SuperSport Croatian Cup final to claim another trophy.

This was the Blues' 25th appearance in a Croatian Cup final, winning the trophy for the 18th time. Including cup trophies from before Croatia's independence, the number rises to 25. This is also Dinamo's 14th double crown in history.

The Zagreb side threatened as early as the 9th minute when Stojković played into the penalty area, Dion Drena Beljo passed right to Mounsef Bakrar, who cut back in front of goal. Rijeka's defenders cleared the ball, Stojković ran onto it and fired at the target, but it flew just over the goal.

Maksimir captain Josip Mišić pulled the attack through the middle of the pitch in the 23rd minute, playing Beljo through in the penalty area, who laid it back for Stojković who set himself up 16 metres out, slightly right, and hit the far post.

Rijeka tried to respond in the 43rd minute when Toni Fruk worked his way through a crowded penalty area with three skillful dribbles to reach the edge of the six-yard box, but Sergi Dominguez slid in at the last moment to deflect the ball. In first-half stoppage time, Mišić again initiated an attack through the middle, playing a short pass to Mihi Zajc, who extended it left for Gabriel Vidović, who then moved towards the centre looking for a shooting position before firing from 17 metres and rattling the far post.

Dinamo opened the second half furiously. Bruno Goda took a throw-in in the 49th minute, Beljo received the ball and played it to Stojković who immediately returned it skillfully. The Maksimir number nine then charged alone from the left, reached seven metres out and fired at the near corner, but goalkeeper Martin Zlomislić parried the ball. However, the goal came in the very next attack...

Zajc played it to Dominguez on the left side, who crossed into the middle, Beljo with his back to goal laid it off for Stojković who from about 20 metres, slightly left, launched a left-footed first-time shot that found the net. The ball went under Zlomislić's arm into the net.

Rijeka came close to quickly equalizing when Alfonso Barco played through Fruk who cleverly passed the high ball left, and Mladen Devetak controlled it with his chest before firing spectacularly with his left foot and shaking the crossbar. Rijeka didn't equalize, but Dinamo extended their lead in the next attack.

Goda launched a high ball from the left towards the penalty area, Beljo under pressure used an effective

'juggling' move to control the ball with his left foot, shook off his marker, reached almost to the goal line and played a short pass back where Stojković had run in to slam it home.

Dinamo were on the verge of a third goal in the 65th minute. Mateo Lisica crossed from the right, Beljo alone at five metres headed goalward, but Zlomislić saved his net.

It was fiery in front of Rijeka's goal again in the 71st minute, the omnipresent Beljo crossed from the left, the equally energetic and inspired Stojković took the ball, but in the scramble Zlomislić had already blocked his 'line of sight' so he deflected the ball short right for Zajc, who with skillful dribbling swayed past the defenders and chipped the ball. But Branko Pavić cleared it off the goal line.

In the third minute of stoppage time Beljo broke clear alone in front of Zlomislić, but once again the goalkeeper managed to save the ball. The Blues immediately had a 'five-on-two' counter-attack, but the ball got stuck in the distribution.
