If Dinamo defeats Lithuanian side Kauno Žalgiris in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League, they will face Norwegian side Viking from Stavanger in the play-off round. This was decided by the draw held on Monday in Nyon. The first leg is scheduled for August 18th or 19th in Zagreb, with the return leg a week later.

The Norwegian championship runs through the calendar year, and Viking won the 2025 title with one point more than Bodø/Glimt. In the new season, after 15 matches played, they are in second place with one point fewer, but also one game in hand compared to Bodø/Glimt.

The loser of the tie between the Croatian and Lithuanian champions will continue their European season in the Europa League play-off. There they will await the winner of the clash between Czech side Hradec Kralove and Turkish side Beşiktaş.
