Dinamo in fine form conclude Slovenian training camp with convincing victory
Brinje Grosuplje – Dinamo 0:9
On the final day of the Slovenian part of their preparations, Dinamo's footballers bid farewell to their opponents with a convincing performance, scoring as many as nine goals. The hosts for the Blues were Brinje Grosuplje, a team that finished at the top of the Slovenian second league last season and will compete in the elite division in the new season. The match was played in a format of two 60-minute halves, and Mario Kovačević's team celebrated with a 9:0 victory.
On this occasion, the Maksimir strategist, just like his colleague on the opposing bench, changed the entire lineup after the first half, i.e., after 60 minutes played. Brinje, however, started the second half with ten new players, and two-thirds of the goals were scored in the final hour.
The net was breached by Gabriel Vidović in the 31st minute when, at the edge of the penalty area, after a pass from Miha Zajc, he chipped the ball over the goalkeeper. Just three minutes later, Dion Drena Beljo entered the penalty area on the left side, cut back a low cross into the penalty area where Mounsef Bakrar ran onto it and increased the lead. The first half was concluded with a goal in the 58th minute, when the home goalkeeper fouled Bakrar, and Beljo scored from the penalty spot.
The Blues found the net twice more in a span of five minutes, from the 64th to 74th minute. First, Bruno Goda crossed from the left, and Lukas Kačavenda caught the ball with his back to goal, after which it surprisingly slipped into the far corner in a high arc. Soon after, Goda again caused problems for the opposing defense, firing a shot that was skillfully received by Fran Topić, who ran alone in front of the goalkeeper and scored without difficulty.
Luka Stojković in the 74th minute unleashed a powerful left-footed shot from 17 meters, slightly from the left, and hit the near post. It was Stojković who, about ten minutes later, with a skillful maneuver on the left side, sent the ball between two defenders, after which Kačavenda received it, ran alone in front of the goalkeeper and calmly placed it into the goal. Three minutes later, young Patrik Horvat was lurking for a defensive mistake, cleverly intercepted a home team pass in front of their penalty area and placed the ball into the empty net for Dinamo's seventh goal.
The last two goals came in the 94th and 104th minutes. In the first case, Raul Torrente, after a cross from the left, headed the ball down, and Moreno Živković met the ball in front of the goal line and hammered it into the net. The story was concluded after Stojković crossed from a free kick on the left, Robert Mudražija got a head to it, and Topić at the edge of the penalty area stuck out his foot and deflected the ball into the goal.
