Stjepan Radeljić is Dinamo's new player
New signing
Former Rijeka defender and experienced Bosnia and Herzegovina international, 28-year-old Stjepan Radeljić, is Dinamo's new player.
He will strengthen the competition in the heart of the defensive line in coach Mario Kovačević's team, and will join his new teammates after appearing at the World Cup where he is part of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team squad.
With his experience, strength in duels and aerial ability, he brings additional security and quality to the team. He stands 201 cm tall and is also characterized by good technique and a powerful shot. At Dinamo he will wear the number 6 shirt.
Born on September 5, 1997 in Nova Bila in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he took his first football steps in Novi Travnik, continued in Vitez, and then went through Zrinjski Mostar's academy where he played at cadet and junior level. He was captain of Zrinjski's juniors with whom he won the championship title while also training with the seniors.
He spent two years with Stuttgart's youth team after which he played for Osijek II for a season and a half while also making his debut for the first team. After a one-year stint at Široki Brijeg, he spent two and a half successful seasons at Moldovan club Sheriff and then three at Rijeka.
In his career so far, he has appeared in the group stage of all three European club competitions. With Sheriff in autumn 2021 he played in the Champions League, and the following season in a captain's role led the team in the Europa League group stage. Last season with Rijeka he reached the Conference League round of 16.
In Sheriff's shirt he was a three-time Moldovan champion, twice winning the double crown, and in 2022 was named the best defender in the Moldovan league. With Rijeka he won the championship and cup in 2025.
In his junior days he played for the Croatian national team, while later, at U-21 level and in senior competition, he wore the Bosnia and Herzegovina shirt with which he earned a place at the World Cup.
