We were good in the first half, scored two beautiful goals, but in the end nervousness took its toll. We did everything so we wouldn't have to worry like this towards the end, but someone wanted to make that match nervous, stated Dinamo's coach Mario Kovačević after the victory against Lokomotiva.

– We entered the match well, scored two beautiful goals, the first from a set piece and good move, and the second after a cross when Dion Drena Beljo reacted brilliantly, truly like a centre-forward. It's a shame we conceded that goal. We were better throughout the first half. The second half also started well, we took a 3-1 lead with a beautiful goal, but as I said, someone wanted to make that match nervous. It's hard for me to talk about the last 25 minutes, we had a man down, yet we could have scored another goal... It's normal for the opponent to create some situations when they're losing and have a man advantage. They had two headers, but in principle we defended well. I congratulate my players from the heart, it's not easy to work in a situation when there's nervousness and negativity around us, but from the first minute they showed they wanted the victory. Some players who have had fewer minutes so far also played. As I said, the first hour was very good, but what happened afterwards is difficult for me to comment on.

Why was Josip Mišić specifically sent off?

– I don't know what could have happened there. I understand someone got in his face, but... I haven't spoken with Mišić yet and I wouldn't want to comment.

Dinamo faces three weeks of league break due to international matches.

– We have a work plan for those three weeks, we need to improve all segments of our game, especially defence. But we also need to improve going forward. Our squad is changing. First of all, we need to physically prepare our new players. You can see they will be real, better and more quality. Some players need a bit of refreshing. There's a lot of work in these three weeks. We also have many internationals, but they won't be with us in training. I'm happy they're included in their national teams, but we'll have to work without them. We know very challenging and difficult matches are coming, but we'll be ready.

The first next league match is in three weeks against Hajduk at Poljud. Without captain Mišić...

– It will certainly be difficult, the captain is our key player. But we'll prepare so that we're competitive again. We don't need additional motivation against Hajduk. We won't give up, we're fighting, but it's as if someone wants it to fall apart. But it won't. We'll be better with the work in these three weeks. We need to improve many things, we're aware of it, we know we can, we will and we must.

Beljo once again played a brilliant match and was also the two-goal scorer. In such form he will surely help the national team as well.

– I said that last year too, but there were some sceptics who don't like him, I don't know how else to explain it... You can see how much we missed him when he was out for two matches. I'm happy for Dion, I'm delighted he's in form, he'll probably help the national team a lot. We want him to continue like this – concluded coach Kovačević.
