The Blues came from behind with spectacular goals to defeat Gorica 4-1 after 120 minutes of play and secured their place in the Cup final. In that final, played on neutral ground in Velika Gorica, they defeated Istra 1961 6-3. Gorica took the lead at Maksimir in the 3rd minute through Dario Špikić's goal, but Dinamo equalised right at the start of the second half when Josip Mišić powerfully and spectacularly fired the ball from 20 metres just under the crossbar.
