Dinamo – Hajduk 1-0
Seven minutes before the end of the match, Vladimir Čonč confused Hajduk's defence, deceived the goalkeeper and delighted the blue supporters. He scored the goal with which Dinamo defeated Hajduk 1-0 in the Maksimir derby, but he also drew applause with an extraordinary move. He had his back turned to the opponent's goal, flicked the ball over his head and thus lobbed Hajduk goalkeeper Ante Vulić, who was incidentally the father of later Split captain and coach Zoran Vulić. Dinamo came close to scoring several minutes earlier as well, but the ball was stopped by the post. After this victory, with five rounds remaining, the Blues were in fourth place with 24 points. Above them were Red Star with 33, Partizan with 30 and Radnički Belgrade with 26 points. This order remained the same at the end of the season.
