Hajduk – Dinamo 0-2 (Cup final, first leg)
Dinamo has already got one hand on the Cup winner's trophy after their 2-0 victory over Hajduk at Poljud. However, the first final match was marred by crowd disturbances in the stands. The first major problems erupted in the 77th minute when hooligans began invading the pitch individually. Dinamo was already leading 2-0 at that point. Two minutes before the end, they attempted a mass pitch invasion by breaking down the gates on the north stand, and referee Draženko Kovačić was forced to suspend the match for about 20 minutes. Police responded with water cannons and cleared that section of the stadium. Meanwhile, the players retreated to the tunnel. The referee then decided to play out the remaining two minutes of the match. Goals for Dinamo were scored by Tomo Šokota in the 40th minute and Mihael Mikić in the 57th minute, and as the Blues also won the second leg 1-0, they claimed the Cup winner's trophy.
