Hajduk – Građanski 0-2 (path to the title)
It was a competitive year in which the Zagreb side were "double champions". In the first part of the season, Građanski finished first in the Croatian-Slovenian League which became a preliminary competition, or qualifying group for the Yugoslav championship. The Blues thus secured their place in the Yugoslav championship finals alongside two other clubs from the "top three", with a total of six teams participating. In the second of the scheduled 10 rounds of the national championship finals, the Zagreb side celebrated a 2-0 victory against Hajduk in Split. This victory, following a home defeat to Belgrade's BSK 3-2, brought the Blues back into contention for the title which they eventually won. The goalscorers in Split were Franjo Mara Wölfl and August Lešnik. Građanski's goalkeeper Franjo Glaser saved a penalty in the second half, with Zagreb leading 2-0, taken by Hajduk striker Leo Lemešić.
