Slaven Belupo – Dinamo 2-3
Dinamo secured their 11th consecutive league victory, bringing the season to a close in grand style, with the intriguing encounter in Koprivnica also marked by a cocktail of various statistical curiosities: in this match, we witnessed for the first time in history a squad where Dinamo's coach led his own son in an official match, with young Leon Jakirović becoming one of the youngest debutants in the history of the Zagreb club... Dinamo thus defeated Slaven Belupo in Koprivnica 3-2 in a match where, alongside the younger Jakirović, 17-year-old Branko Pavić also made his debut.
The winning goal in stoppage time was scored by young Luka Vrbančić, which was also his first goal in the HNL and his third in official matches for the Maksimir team. He had previously scored twice in cup competitions.
Coach Sergej Jakirović brought his son Leon off the bench in the 83rd minute, with the Maksimir teenager making his debut at just 16 years, four months and two days old. However, this doesn't make him the youngest debutant in Dinamo's history, and interestingly, the club record holder in this category also made his debut in Koprivnica. That record holder is Fran Brodić, who made his Dinamo debut in April 2013 at just 16 years, three months and seven days old.
The hosts opened the scoring first through former Dinamo defender Daniel Štefulj. In the 4th minute, he curled the ball from the left side towards goal, certainly intending to deliver a sharp cross, but the ball took an unusual, looping trajectory that lobbed the goalkeeper and nestled under the crossbar into the net.
Brodić equalized at the start of the second half. Marko Bulat delivered a free kick from the right, Brodić headed it into a block, then pounced on the rebound and slammed it into the goal. Dinamo took the lead in the 52nd minute when Brodić ran towards the goalkeeper and calmly passed to the right to an unmarked Sandro Kulenović, who placed it into the net.
The Koprivnica side leveled in the 62nd minute when Adriano Jagušić shot from 18 meters, with the ball clipping a Dinamo defender, deceiving the goalkeeper and ending up in the goal. In stoppage time, Bulat fired powerfully from a free kick 18 meters out, the goalkeeper managed to get a touch after which the ball rebounded off the crossbar directly to Vrbančić, who tucked it into the goal at the first attempt.
The hosts played with ten men from the 71st minute after Michael Agbekpornu was sent off for a second yellow card.
