Giuseppe Meazza at Maksimir... The celebrated Italian footballer after whom the stadium in Milan's San Siro district was later named, visited Dinamo in Zagreb that day. In a friendly match at Maksimir Stadium, Dinamo and Inter Milan played out a 1-1 draw. The goalscorer for the Zagreb side was Rudolf Belin, and the famous Meazza commented after the match: "I liked Belin, he is a master of football. His play and certain moves remind me of our Luigi Riva. He's a brilliant player!"
