Dinamo – Hajduk 3-0 (title celebration, Eduardo hat-trick)
Celebration of the second consecutive championship title, Eduardo da Silva's goal-scoring machine in full swing, record-breaking performance, three goals against old rivals Hajduk in a celebratory atmosphere and the first hat-trick by the Blues in a derby after 44 years. In such an atmosphere, the final round match of the championship was played, where the Blues closed the season by outplaying Hajduk 3-0 with Eduardo's hat-trick.
He found the net in the 14th, 39th and 78th minutes. The Maksimir "carioca" thus became the fourth player in the history of the Zagreb club to score at least three goals in one official match against Hajduk. The previous three were Franjo Mara Wölfl in 1939, Aleksandar Benko in 1958 and Slaven Zambata in 1963. After Eduardo, Angelo Henriquez also achieved this feat in 2015.
Moreover, Eduardo became the absolute record holder that season, surpassing the previous "laureate" Goran Vlaović in the number of goals scored in one HNL season. Vlaović scored 29 goals in 1993/94, also wearing the jersey of the Maksimir club, which was the league record until Eduardo's masterful season.
Dinamo's "carioca" finished the competition with 34 goals scored, averaging more than one goal per match. He scored those 34 goals in 32 appearances. If we add matches in the Croatian Cup, Super Cup and European competitions that season, Eduardo scored exactly 47 goals in a total of 47 official appearances.
