Građanski defeated Hajduk 5-1 in a league match at their home ground in Koturaška. The Zagreb side was managed by Irish coach James Donnelly, with the standout player of the encounter being the brilliant Aleksandar Aco Živković. Miroslav Mirko Kokotović opened the scoring in the 10th minute, but the Split team managed to equalise just a minute later through Žarko Rosić. Živković scored in the 20th and 44th minutes to give Građanski a 3-1 lead, before Vilmos Vilim Sipos followed in his footsteps, scoring twice in succession to seal the victory with goals in the 60th and 75th minutes.
