Dinamo – Hajduk 4-1 (Cup Winners)

Four quick-fire goals in the space of 16 minutes turned the match around and launched Dinamo to their third Cup Winners' Cup trophy. The Blues, in the final at Belgrade's JNA Stadium under coach Milan Antolković, defeated Hajduk 4-1 with a hat-trick from Slaven Zambata, in a match where the Split side had held the lead after an hour of play.

The Whites took the lead through Andrija Anković with a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area in the 35th minute, but midway through the second half, the Blues unleashed a furious scoring spree. The driving force was right-winger Zdenko Kobešćak, who initiated most of the attacks and created numerous chances... It was he who in the 65th minute surged down the right flank, beat several defenders and crossed into the middle where Zambata ran onto it to equalise. The Blues took the lead three minutes later when Mirko Charlie Braun rattled the net with a long-range strike, before Zambata completed the story with two more goals in the 79th and 81st minutes.
