Dinamo – Ferencvaros 2-0 (Mitropa Cup)
In their third group stage appearance in the Mitropa Cup, Dinamo's footballers defeated Hungarian side Ferencvaros 2-0 on home soil. This came just a week after Juventus visited Maksimir Stadium in the second round match, where the blues triumphed 2-1. Slaven Zambata charged down the right flank in the 12th minute and found the Hungarian net with a powerful strike. Nine minutes later, Ilijas Pašić delivered a cross from the left wing, and Damir Petrunić unleashed a spectacular volley on the run to seal the 2-0 victory. Dinamo, under coach Milan Antolković's guidance, ultimately won the group with eight points, level with Spartak Hradec Kralove from Czechoslovakia. Juventus finished third with seven points, while Ferencvaros came last with just one point. The Zagreb side was subsequently eliminated by Bologna in the semi-finals.
