Gradjanski – Vienna 5-2
Gradjanski hosted Vienna during the Easter holidays, at that time an exceptionally strong team by European standards. They played two consecutive matches, day after day: on Easter Sunday itself, the Zagreb side won 5-2, and on Easter Monday they recorded another success, this time 2-1. Both matches were played at the ground in Koturaška and in both cases it was the main event of the day in an almost all-day football programme where the ball started rolling as early as 8 o'clock in the morning: the Gradjanski vs Vienna match was the fifth game of the day on both Sunday and Monday. A full five goals against the Austrian team was a result that made headlines because Vienna hadn't conceded five goals for two years, neither against Austrian nor foreign opponents. Dragutin Braco Babić was the hat-trick scorer, while Stjepan Pasinek and Franjo Joža Giller each scored once. For Vienna, Otto Kaller and Antal Siklossy found the net. On the second day, the Zagreb team celebrated with a 2-1 victory in a match that Vienna finished with nine players, following two dismissals. However, this 2-1 scoreline was established while both teams were still evenly matched numerically on the pitch. For Gradjanski, Emil Perška and Giller scored, while Otto Fischer netted for the visitors.
