Rijeka – Dinamo 3-1 (Cup Final)
Rijeka "dethroned" Dinamo and claimed the double crown. Four days earlier, in the final league match, the Blues convincingly defeated Rijeka 5-2 on the Maksimir pitch, but the visitors still celebrated the title as they had mathematically secured it in the previous round. Soon after, on May 31st, they met again, but this time in the Cup final.
The match was played in Varaždin, and future Dinamo striker Mario Gavranović, then wearing Rijeka's jersey, was the star of the show. He found the net in the 24th minute after being set up with a return pass by former Maksimir midfielder Franko Andrijašević. The Blues got back into the game when Dani Olmo ran onto a loose ball in the 37th minute and fired a volley into the net. Gavranović restored the lead right at the start of the second half, heading home from a corner kick "at the far post". Dario Župarić sealed the victory in the 72nd minute with a clever first-time strike from 15 meters to make it 3-1, securing the double crown for Rijeka.
