The opening day of the football ground in Rijeka's Kantrida. Građanski's footballers graced the opening ceremony of the football complex in Rijeka. The Zagreb side were guests of the then Victoria from Sušak, and it was precisely these two clubs that first kicked the ball on the famous Rijeka stadium. We're not counting an earlier training match between Victoria and the crew of the English steamship Ivernia.

What's more, the hosts had an additional reason to celebrate as they defeated Građanski convincingly 3-0 in this exhibition match. Interestingly, Victoria's secretary at the time, Nikola Bošković, years later became Građanski's secretary.
