Građanski – Hajduk 3-0 (friendly, abandoned due to player brawl)

Two weeks after their impressive 5-1 victory over Liverpool, the Zagreb side participated in a two-day tournament organized at their home ground during Whitsun. It was a charity tournament in aid of "Hrvatski radiše", but it was marred by major incidents and a brawl between players.

The tournament winner was Građanski, who defeated Bačka from Subotica 7-2 on the first day, and Hajduk 3-0 the following day. Split had previously beaten SAŠK from Sarajevo 4-0. Bačka and SAŠK also faced each other, with the footballers from Subotica winning 5-2.

Incidents broke out already on the first day during the match between Hajduk and SAŠK, and then again the next day during the Građanski versus Hajduk encounter. In the first case, the trouble was caused by an assistant referee who didn't handle his role particularly well. The match

The Građanski versus Hajduk match was abandoned seven minutes before the end following serious incidents. The report stated, among other things:

"Unfortunately, not even this completely friendly football tournament organized for charitable purposes could pass without incidents and brawls between players. The fight was instigated by Hajduk footballer Vladimir Kragić, known for previous incidents, and unfortunately almost all other players joined the fight, resulting in a general brawl. It's enough to say that police had to intervene to stop the fighting."

Građanski's squad was missing key wingers Ivica Medarić and Miroslav Mirko Kokotović, but August Lešnik featured, who was still in a trial period as a player for Zagreb's Špartа.

Lešnik was precisely the best individual performer of the match, initiating attacks and dictating the tempo, while Idriz Lađarević was equally inspired, providing three assists. The first two goals came in virtually the same minute, the 53rd, in two consecutive attacks. In both cases, Lađarević set up Lešnik, while in the 76th minute, Branko Pleše converted Lešnik's assist to make it 3-0.

The incidents began in the 80th minute, after two minutes the match briefly resumed, but following the outbreak of another brawl it was finally abandoned.
