The former legendary Dinamo captain and leader of the celebrated bronze generation of the Croatian national team, Zvonimir Boban, has returned to the Maksimir club. His arrival was announced at a press conference on 14 April, and his official mandate in the new role as Chairman of the club's Board of Directors began on 1 June.

Members of the Executive Committee at their session on 14 April supported the proposal by President Velimir Zajec and the then-current Chairman of the Board, Zvonimir Manenica, for Zvonimir Boban to take over the role as head of the Board of Directors. Manenica will retain his role as Board member for finances while the former "Vatreni" captain will primarily focus on sporting matters.

These changes officially came into effect on 1 June.
