Dinamo – Trešnjevka 6-4

Ten goals in the city derby. Dinamo and Trešnjevka played a spectacular match on the Maksimir pitch, despite only 3,000 spectators being in the stands. The Blues won 6-4, but even after that remained second in the table with an unreachable nine-point deficit behind Vojvodina with two rounds left until the end of the competition. Josip Gutzmirtl opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a volley from the edge of the penalty area, only for Ivan Pavlica to equalize 10 minutes later on the counterattack.

Five minutes before the end of the first half, Gutzmirtl took advantage of a poor pass from the visiting defenders to put the Blues back in front, before completing his hat-trick in the 55th minute by capitalizing on a brilliant return ball from Slaven Zambata. What followed was six goals in 24 minutes. First, Stjepan Lamza broke clear of the defense in the 65th minute, beat goalkeeper Marko Bilić and scored for 4-1. Just a minute later, Pavle Garov surprised everyone with a shot from almost 30 meters. Krasnodar Rora completed the 'fireworks' when in the 70th minute he intercepted the ball, broke clear in front of the goalkeeper and easily placed the ball into the net for 5-2, before scoring again four minutes later, this time after Lamza's cross. The story was concluded by Zoran Brajković with goals in the 77th minute when the ball rebounded off the post into the net and in the 79th from the penalty spot awarded after Mladen Ramljak's challenge.
