Slavija Sarajevo – Građanski 2-3 (path to the title)

First they defeated one competitor in Belgrade, and immediately after that in Sarajevo they overcame another rival for the championship title. Građanski's footballers, in a furious season finale, defeated their direct competitors in two crucial matches: first they beat BSK 1-0, and from Belgrade they didn't even return to Zagreb but immediately continued to Sarajevo where on June 6th they defeated the previously leading Slavija 3-2.

This was the turning point that pulled the Zagreb side towards the title. First, Zvonimir Cimermančić fired a powerful shot in the 12th minute and hit the crossbar, and Milan Antolković deflected the rebound into the net. The home team could have equalized shortly after, but Branko Tešanić from just two meters hit the post. Građanski immediately punished this when in the 17th minute Cimermančić, after Antolković's pass, launched the ball into the goal from the edge of the penalty area. Branko Šalipur reduced the deficit with a volley three minutes later. In the 52nd minute, Florijan Conjo Matekalo skillfully passed the ball to August Lešnik, and after his powerful shot goalkeeper Miljenko Krstulović only managed to deflect the ball into his own goal. Near the end of the match Slavija missed the chance to convert a penalty: Predrag Đajić took the shot, but goalkeeper Emil Urch skillfully stopped the ball. However, immediately after that Đajić managed to reduce the deficit with a header following a corner, five minutes before the end of the match.

With this victory Građanski, two rounds before the end, equaled Slavija on points at the top, while BSK was closely following them after defeating Hajduk Čak 9-0 on the same day. The Zagreb team celebrated in the remaining two matches as well and eventually won their fourth championship title of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
