Dinamo – Partizan 3-0

The media, under the headline "Volcano Named Belin", described the league clash in which Dinamo outplayed Partizan 3-0. According to media assessments, this was one of the best matches of Belin's career.

The match report, among other things, states: "The 8th of June will be recorded in the blue annals as one of Rudi Belin's most brilliant performances. An exceptionally inspired Rudo led the blue team in the second half and from what had been a nervous, tormented squad, he developed a giant that completely destroyed Stjepan Bobek's army with hurricane attacks in less than half an hour."

In the 35th minute, Josip Gutzmirtl sprinted at full speed into Partizan's penalty area, awaiting a cross from Krasnodar Rora on the left side. Blagoje Paunović brought him down, and Belin converted the penalty to give the blues the lead. His second goal also came from a set piece, but this time from a free kick. In the 63rd minute, from 18 meters, he spectacularly launched the ball over the wall into the top corner. Although the third goal in the 68th minute was scored by Rora following a move involving Marijan Novak and Slaven Zambata, the stands echoed with ovations for Belin: "Rudi, Rudi!".

The report further describes Belin's role: "After 2-0 began the final gala scene that we can count among Dinamo's most beautiful exhibitions. In fireworks equal to those that brought Ferencváros, Eintracht, Partizan in the Cup (7-2), English Leeds to their knees... Belin led the team and inspired them to such an extent with his extraordinary moves that the black and white shirts froze, finding themselves totally bewildered."

The start of the match was also marked by a small ceremony: Mladen Ramljak received a gift for his 300th appearance in Dinamo's jersey. With this victory, the blues remained in the title race; four rounds before the end, they were three points behind Crvena zvezda, while further increasing their advantage over third-placed Partizan, who were now four points behind the blues. At the end of the season, Dinamo finished as runners-up with exactly three points fewer than Zvezda and five more than Partizan.
