Dinamo - Hajduk 0-0 (4-1 on penalties) (Supercup won)
Dinamo, under the guidance of coach Ante Čačić, opened the season victorious and won their seventh Supercup trophy. After a 0-0 draw in 90 minutes of play, the Blues defeated Hajduk at home with a superior penalty shootout performance of 4-1 and claimed their seventh Supercup title.
But it's truly miraculous how this match even reached a penalty shootout, truly miraculous how Hajduk's net remained untouched in the second 45 minutes amid a fierce barrage and real siege of the Split goal, during which the Blues failed to convert as many as eight great chances. Hajduk's inspired goalkeeper Lovre Kalinić played a huge role in that. However, the visitors also had their moments - in the 29th minute Dino Mikanović hit the crossbar with a powerful shot from the right.
In the penalty shootout, all of Dinamo's takers were successful: Bruno Petković, Mislav Oršić, Robert Ljubičić and Luka Ivanušec. For Hajduk, Marko Livaja scored, then Jan Mlakar sent the ball over the goal, and in the next round Dominik Livaković saved Josip Vuković's shot.
