Dinamo traveled for a friendly match against Nice, an old acquaintance from the Grasshoppers Cup competition. In the summer of 1960, Nice no longer possessed the same strength that had characterized them the year before when they won the French championship title for 1958/59. However, they were still a very quality team. In the friendly match played in the evening slot, the hosts led 1-0 at halftime, with the goalscorer being Jean-Louis Leonetti with a strike from more than 20 meters. In the second half, the result was turned around by Ilijas Pašić with a goal in the 50th minute and Luka Lipošinović in the 60th minute for a 2-1 victory for the Blues.
