Dinamo – Hajduk 5-0

Dinamo, then the reigning national champions, welcomed a rejuvenated Hajduk team to their home ground and sent them packing with five goals in the net. It was, in fact, a friendly match played for the "Emigrants Cup". Luka Lipošinović put the Blues ahead with a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area as early as the 5th minute. He rattled the crossbar from which the ball bounced back behind the goal line, with the visitors protesting and claiming it hadn't fully crossed the line. However, it would soon cross the line in its entirety – four more times. Željko Čajkovski scored with a precise shot from 15 metres in the 18th minute, before launching the ball into the corner with a skilful run to make it 3-0 towards the end of the first half. In the second half, Branko Režek took on the director's role: in the 65th minute he delivered a cross into the box where Aleksandar Benko met the ball and shook the net, and shortly after that Režek himself scored to seal the final 5-0 scoreline.
