Balls flew just over the crossbar, flashed past the post and even hit the post itself, all accompanied by thunderous support from the blue fans... That's how it looked in the first hour of play, and then, precisely in the 60th minute, the stands at Kranjčevićeva erupted, Dinamo's songs echoed through the poet's street. Just as the blue supporters on both stands were alternately singing their ode to Dinamo in their fan ritual, Lokomotiva's net finally rippled. Maksimir striker Sandro Kulenović scored with a volley to give his side the lead, and soon the chant "Kule! Kule!" rang out from the stands... And not just because of the goal, but also because of the tremendous energy, fighting spirit, emotion, sacrifice... Dinamo defeated Lokomotiva 1-0 that day at Kranjčevićeva, extending their winning streak to eight consecutive victories in the league and cup, maintaining their good form and winning atmosphere for the season finale.

In that 60th minute, Martin Baturina delivered a free kick from the right side, at the far post, right by the goal line, Maxime Bernauer headed it back to the center where Kulenović appeared and unleashed a powerful volley from about ten meters for the lead.

Goalkeeper Ivan Nevistić also played a heroic role with two masterful saves in the 74th and 76th minutes. First, Ivan Kukavica played an effective through ball to Silvijo Goričan, who broke clear in front of Dinamo's goalkeeper, but he prevented what seemed like a certain goal with a spectacular save. Less than two minutes later, he also denied Karl Bartolec's close-range effort.

The stands briefly thundered in the 22nd minute when Lokomotiva's goalpost shook. Petar Sučić found Kulenović on the right side, he cut inside to the center, and on the far side Gabriel Vidović hit the post with a diagonal shot from about ten meters.
